About Me

I qualified with a double distinction in a City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Interior Design and went on to support courses run by ‘My Interior Design School’, a globally recognised company that was based in Cheltenham, providing courses in Interior Design. I spent time with students to unlock their creativity and nurture confidence in budding interior designers, whilst consolidating what I had learnt.

Further qualifications from the National Design Academy, helped to develop a broader and deeper understanding of how to develop a design concept and how to convey each stage of a project to a client, bringing a strong visual path of communication to gaining the clients trust and confidence.

Growing up my Mum always nurtured creativity in crafting and home-making. In the skills she grew and learned in sewing her soft furnishings I took inspiration. I was so lucky, granted artistic license in my bedroom I was forever moving my furniture around, yielding a paint brush, changing window dressing, and spending my pocket money on items for my room.

I set up Lucy Harries Design Consultancy because I get so much enjoyment out of creating spaces that feel loved and organised and I have a real passion for passing that joy on to other people and their homes in the hope that they too feel pride and joy in their space.

What People Are Saying

''Lucy did a wonderful job on our new living room and should be proud of the amazing transformation. I know how much time and care went into it and the finished product is exactly what we wanted.

It was a long room, very plain and we just didn't know what to do with it. By the end we had something cosy and welcoming. Everyone who has come over has loved it!

We used existing, second hand and new items, so not over budget and she chose some lovely colours to bring it all together. Delighted to have been one of your projects. We are so pleased. Thank you.''
